I highly recommend Woodland Echoes resort in Magnetawan, Ontario. This is where we went during my (extremely rough) pregnancy with our twins, and I loved it.

It's a nice, quiet little cottage / fishing resort on the Ahmic lake system. The cottages are nice sized, and come as large as 2 bedroom (although they often include easy sleeping arrangements in the living room as well, if you are bringing along more small ones). Several of the cottages also come with either a Jacuzzi tub or a hot tub. We had one with a hot tub, and I found they were very agreeable to lowering the temperature so that it was acceptable for pregnant women. As well, the cottages have well-supplied kitchenettes, varying musements, and a lovely view of the lake.

There are also things to do outside of the cabin. There is a game room with internet access. There are many lovely walking trails, which sometimes feature geo-caching. There are paddle boats, and small four-stroke fishing boats that one can rent to go out on the lakes... bring back fish, or simply explore and relax. There is also a sweet little playground, and a small mini-golf course. The place is extremely family friendly.

You can bring your own food and cook in your kitchenette, or you can do as we did and get a package that includes breakfast and dinner in the dining room. The dining room has some of the best food I have ever tasted, and the staff is highly amenable to making any menu adjustments necessary for the predilections of small children and pregnant women. It also has a beautiful view of the bird-feeding area, which frequently features an array of hummingbirds.

Ken and Carol, the proprietors, are incredibly knowledgeable of the area, particularly the neighbouring villages. They can provide all kinds of information about day trips. Our favourite was to see Peter Camani's property, complete with his acres of sculptures, on nearby Midlothian Rd.

The rates for packages with Woodland Echoes are reasonable. We have been more than once, and always enjoy it a great deal. As well, they also offer wedding / honeymoon / anniversary / "romance" packages, for those who are interested.
